The Tackle Box (for practical things)

Many people are rightfully concerned with rising gas prices.  Some even make a decision to get rid of a gas guzzler in favor of one that sips fuel.  But, as with all purchases, things that are trendy tend to get a premium.  In other words, because so many people are buying vehicles that have great fuel economy, it is driving up the demand for them.  Basic economics.  By taking the time to figure out how much fuel your vehicle actually consumes, you can make a better decision on whether it makes sense or not to invest in a different vehicle.  I've prepared an excel spreadsheet to allow you to easily calculate the cost of the fuel.  All you need is miles driven, gas mileage for your vehicle and the fuel price.  The average person drives about 12,000 miles per year.
